Train tracks

So I was scrolling through photos I had taken last night, giving myself a bit of grief for not being better at updating my blog or really doing anything with all these images, when I came across this photo. I took it while on a hike with my husband almost a year ago and I remember looking at it when I got home and thinking that whatever it was that I was trying to accomplish didn’t work and moving on. But something about it struck me last night. Something about those hard metal railway tracks pushing you through the image and cutting through that soft sort of undefined shadow. I guess it is speaking to where I’m feeling I’m at in my life currently so I thought I would share it.

I love finding these old gems in my photos. Things I had previously just pushed aside because they didn’t fit what I was looking for at the time but after some time they expose themselves as something great.
